Hackettstown’s Second Annual New Year’s Eve Blast Featuring An M&M’S® Lentil Drop At Midnight: Here's What You Need To Know

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - The Town of Hackettstown, the Hackettstown Police Department, Mars Wrigley, and the Hackettstown Business Improvement District are prepping for its second annual New Year’s Eve Blast with an M&M’S® lentil drop at midnight.

Street Closures:

Starting at around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2024 until 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2025:

•Main Street (Route 46) between West Plane St and liberty Street
•West Moore Street between Main Street and Washington Street
•East Moore Street between Main Street and Sharp Street
•High Street (Route 517) between Main Street and Franklin Street
•Grand Avenue between Main Street and Washington Street

Plan an alternate route and expect delays in the area.

No Parking Zones:

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2024 until 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2025:

•Main Street (Route 46) between Church Street and Liberty Street
•Liberty Street between Main Street and Franklin Street
•Franklin Street between Liberty Street and High Street

Any vehicles parked in the No Parking zones will be ticketed and towed.

Parking:

People are encouraged to park in the municipal lots and on the side streets. Free parking is available on all streets and in municipal lots.

Additionally, parking is available at Centenary University (715 Grand Ave).

Restrooms:

Porta-A-Johns will be located in Municipal Parking Lot #1, situated between High Street and Liberty Street; Municipal Parking Lot #3, off West Moore Street (near the Moore Street Firehouse); and the Berks Furniture Parking Lot (232 Main Street) at the Kids Zone.

Alcohol:

•Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in public.

Security:

Extra police officers and crossing guards are assigned to the event.

If anyone sees something suspicious or that does not look right, tell a police officer, or call 911 immediately.

New Year's Eve Blast:

This year's festivities will take place in the heart of Hackettstown at the intersection of Main Street and High Street from 8:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and it will be a night to remember.

What to Expect:

Ten-year-old Giana Pichardo from Hackettstown will perform the National Anthem at 8:00 p.m.
Joe Ratz from Bombed Opera (8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
Groove to the beats of DJ SC3 Entertainment.
HHS Cheerleaders and TCA Cheerleaders periodically performing throughout the night.
Free giveaways (while supplies last) from Atlantic Health System/Hackettstown Medical Center, Centenary University, WRNJ Radio, and Hackettstown Stormwater Management.
M&M’S® lentil drop at midnight.
M&M’S® Characters
Kids Zone will be in the Berk's Furniture Outlet parking lot, located at 232 Main Street, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.:
- 1. Take a picture in a giant Snow Globe ($1 per person to enter. CASH ONLY).
- 2. Cow Train ride ($1 per person per ride. CASH ONLY).
